PC Jon Bowler is the Beat Officer for Ash and can be contacted on 101 or email: email hidden; JavaScript is required
If he is not able to call you back within 24 hours due to the varying shift hours of work, your call can be directed to the nearest Neighbourhood Police Team. The 101 number also can put you in touch with a police officer, or you can report an on-going incident or an incident that has happened.

The PCSOs are part of the Neighbourhood Police Team for Rural Areas in East Kent. They are able to help with advice on safety and security and with the prevention and reduction of incidents of crime, disorder or anti-social behaviour.

My Community Voice is a messaging service that helps Kent & Medway residents, businesses, and community groups keep in touch with their local policing teams. The service sends updates about your local area directly from police officers themselves.

Reporting rural crime to us
If possible, make a note of the following:
- Is the suspect (s) alone or in a group?
- Are they trespassing?
- Do they have equipment, dogs or firearms with them?
- Are you aware of where suspects have been or where they are heading?
- What do they look like?
- Have they any vehicles? What are the number plates and vehicle models?
- Can you safely get a photograph?

Country Eye App
Developed in collaboration with the Crime Rural Advisory Group (CRAG), the app allows members of the rural community to share information on crime, suspicious behaviour and damage.
Any information uploaded to the app is stored in a secure central database and accessed by Country Eye volunteers who have been fully trained by us.
Information is broadcast to other app users so they are alert to suspicious activity as well as collated for police officers to get a better picture of rural crime and where and how it is taking place.
Complete with a knowledge section, the app is simple to use, free and is available for Android and iOS. This app cannot be used to report crime.
You can report a crime to police online or call 101 for non-urgent issues. Dial 999 if crime is taking place.
Heritage Watch
Heritage Watch aims to help prevent and detect heritage crime in Kent.The scheme encourages the public to use their eyes and ears to look after our cultural heritage using tools such as Country Eye, a crime prevention app supported by Kent Police (see below).Heritage crime is any offence which harms the value of heritage assets and their settings for this and future generations. Offences range from graffiti, vandalism, theft of metal and stone, arson and unlawful salvage of shipwrecks.
This activity can damage historic sites beyond repair, or even mean that a prized piece of history is lost forever.
