Ash Charities
ASH UNITED CHARITIES
As ‘Ash Almshouses’, we provide almshouse accommodation for Ash residents or for those with strong local connections who can also demonstrate a pressing need for a local home. Applicants should not be less than 60 years of age.
Our ‘Benevolent Fund’ is able to make cash grants to Ash residents who find themselves in need but are unable to access help through the district council or statutory services.

has funds which may be available to make individual educational grants to children or young people in the parish.

JACK FOAT AND FRANK KINGSLAND TRUSTS
both make grants to voluntary organisations and/or individuals in the parish for approved charitable purposes, e.g. for religious, educational or public recreational projects, or to relieve need.
The Jack Foat Trust also owns and maintains “Street End Field” and “15 Acres” as open areas to be used by local residents for recreational purposes.

10 Queen’s Road Ash CT3 2BG – The hall is the scene of most village functions and was re-furbished in 2003 to meet current disabled regulations; the main hall, library, stage, (with or without kitchen) may be hired for meetings, dances, quizes, wedding receptions, children’s parties etc. Hall user groups and societies are represented on the Management Committee (also Charity Trustees) who own and maintain the building to a high standard.

The centre of activities for Westmarsh with a new village hall. The Hall and kitchen may be hired for meetings, dances etc. Owned by the Trustees and managed by a committee on which Westmarsh organisations are represented.

Ash Heritage Centre
Ash Village Hall, Queen’s Road, Ash – this is a local archive – open to the public on Saturday mornings from 10am – 12 noon. The Centre organises public exhibitions, workshops and half-yearly lectures.
