Applications for Parish Council Grants NOW OPEN

The Parish Council has allocated a total fund of £3,000 and small Grant applications are invited from parish organisations and groups.

Grant Success Stories

Ash Baby & Toddler Group were just one of the local groups who received a Grant from the Parish Council last year.

Their slide and play mats needed replacing and the Parish Council were please to award a grant of £229.49 to help them out.

Organiser Sophie shared:
“The equipment has really enhanced our weekly group and we are very grateful for your support. The slide is very popular, it was tricky to get photos of the children using it as they are usually a blur! The mats improve safety and are more hygienic than the old damaged ones, as we can wipe up any spills or accidents. Children of all ages use the mats to play on and some of the photos capture “sleeping bunnies” laying on them as we sing at the end of a session. Thanks again on behalf of all at Ash Baby and Toddler Group.”

Ash Advent were awarded a Grant of £200 from the Parish Council for their 2025 events and organiser Rebecca provided an update on how it was used:

“On behalf of the Ash Advent Events team, we would like to formally thank Ash Parish Council for its generous grant, which enabled us to deliver our first ever Festive Tractor Parade as part of our December fundraising programme.

The parade proved to be an outstanding success and set a positive tone for the month’s events. Thanks to the Council’s support, we were able to ensure the event was well organised, safely marshalled by volunteers, and accessible to the whole community.

The Tractor Parade marked the beginning of a highly successful programme of Advent activities, including the Advent Window Trail, bingo and quiz nights, a raffle, and a bake sale. Together, these events raised a total of £2,785.88 for Porchlight and the Trussell Trust. Alongside this fundraising success, the programme achieved its wider aim of bringing residents together and strengthening community spirit across the village throughout the festive season.

We are extremely grateful to Ash Parish Council for its support and confidence in this initiative. The grant was instrumental in allowing us to deliver a safe, inclusive and memorable event, and in helping Ash Advent Events meet both its charitable and community-building objectives.”
