Urgent Road Closure – Poulton Lane, Ash – 12th February 2024 (Dover)

It will be necessary to close Poulton Lane, Ash from 12th February 2024 for up to 2 days.

The road will be closed at Poulton Lane, Ash.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

It is planned that the road will be closed between 8:00 hrs and 16:00 hrs each day.

This is to enable carriageway repairs to be carried out by Kent County Council.

Temporary Road Closure – New Street Ash – from 4th March 2024 for up to 18 months

Temporary Road Closures – Dover, Folkestone & Hythe and Thanet – from 4th March 2024 for up to 18 months

Because of a program of carriageway patching and preservation works, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on Various Roads, Dover, Folkestone and Hythe and Thanet, as per the schedule below.

This Order takes effect on or after 4th March 2024 for a period of up to 18 months or until the works have been completed. Planned dates will be published in advance of the works and indicated by signage displayed on site 14 days before they start.  Road closures and other restrictions will be in effect when the appropriate signage and barriers are in place.

Temporary 20mph Speed Limit – New Street, Ash – from 4th March 2024

Temporary 20mph & 40mph Speed Limits – Various Roads, Dover, Folkestone & Hythe and Thanet – from 4th March 2024 for up to 18 months

To support a program of carriageway preservation works traffic speeds will be restricted to 40mph on the approach to, and then 20mph through, working sites on Various Roads Dover, Folkestone and Hythe and Thanet as per the schedule below. The 20mph speed restrictions will remain in force during works and for up to 7 days after the completion of preservation activities for the safety of road users.

Southern Water – Temporary Road Closure – Saunders Lane, Ash – 19th February 202

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Southern Water, It will be necessary to close part of Saunders LaneAsh, from 19th February 2024 with estimated completion by 23rd February 2024.

Saunders LaneAsh, will be closed between the junctions of Sandwich Road and New Street. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Saunders Lane, Sandwich Road, New Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while allowing water works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Southern Water.
