DOVER DISTRICT LOCAL PLAN – MAIN MODIFICATIONS CONSULTATION

DOVER DISTRICT LOCAL PLAN – MAIN MODIFICATIONS CONSULTATION

The Dover District Local Plan to 2040 Regulation 19 Submission (The Local Plan) establishes the general scale and distribution of new development which is required to meet Dover District’s needs to 2040. It also provides the planning principles and policies to guide decisions on all new developments. In March 2023 the Local Plan was submitted to the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities for independent examination.

Following the close of the public hearing sessions for the examination, the Government-appointed Planning Inspectors examining the Local Plan have recommended a number of Main Modifications to the Local Plan to make the plan ‘sound’. These are open for public consultation during this period, along with other evidence base updates.

Please find below the links to the documents relevant to the Main Modifications Consultation. These documents are open for comments for the formal consultation period:

The consultation runs from Thursday, 11th April 2024 to 5pm on Friday, 24th May 2024.

The simplest way to make comments is through the dedicated consultation website. Paper copies of the main consultation documents can also be viewed at Ash Library, Ash Village Hall, 10 Queen’s Road, Ash, CT3 2BG
