Huge Thank You to Our Amazing ‘Great British Spring Clean’ Volunteers!
Today’s Ash ‘Great British Spring Clean’ was a resounding success! In just two hours, 25 fantastic volunteers came together to collect 32 bags of litter and dumped waste from all corners of our village. Problem areas and fly-tipping spots were promptly reported to Dover District Council’s environmental team, who kindly hosted the litter pick.
A special shoutout to our two youngest litter pickers and the wonderful staff and residents from Olea Grove—your efforts are truly inspiring! It’s heart warming to see younger generations actively helping to tackle litter and contribute to keeping Ash beautiful for everyone.
It was also lovely to see Reverend Caroline Turvey who stopped by to say hello before we set off—thank you for your support!
While litter-picking and giving our village a much-needed spring clean were the priorities today, it was equally rewarding to enjoy some fresh air, connect with neighbours, share stories, and, of course, indulge in a cuppa and cake.
Let’s keep showing Ash the love and respect it deserves. Together, we can build a cleaner, greener Parish for everyone to enjoy.
