The A257 Canterbury Road will be closed between the High Street (B2046) and the junction with Wingham Lane, Wingham Well. Kent County Council will be undertaking essential carriageway and footway reconstruction works, including the construction of a new supporting retaining structure on the A257 Canterbury Road, Wingham as it passes over Wingham River, located to the west of Wingham village.
These safety mitigation works are programmed to be carried out during the school summer holidays and
commence on 8 August 2022. They will be undertaken in two phases and are expected to take approximately four weeks to complete.

Closure of part of Sandwich Road from 8th August 2022 with estimated completion by 4th September 2022. between White Post Gardens and Gardners Close, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is Sandwich Road, The Street, Guilton, Pedding Hill, A257 Ash Bypass and vice versa.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while the installation of surface drainage and associated development works are undertaken by DJ Civils Ltd.

Temporary Road Closure – New Street, Ash – 26th July 2022 for 2 Days

It will be necessary to close part of New Street, Ash from 26th July 2022 with estimated completion by 27th July 2022.

New Street, Ash will be closed in the vicinity of number 13, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is New Street, Sandwich Road, A257 Ash Bypass, A256 Sandwich Bypass/Sandwich Road/Eastry Bypass, Dover Road, Lower Street, High Street, Woodnesborough Lane, Foxborough Hill, Marshborough Road and vice versa.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while utility connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
