Ash Benefits from DDC’s Cost of Living Community Impact Fund Grants

Dover District Council’s Community Impact Fund is a grant scheme to support residents with the cost-of-living. Applications were welcomed from community organisations and groups who had to demonstrate the impact their projects would have on bridging the cost-of-living gap, for the benefit of local residents.

We are delighted that two Ash organisations have benefitted from the most recent round of funding:

Ash Bowls Club have been granted £2,125.00

All Sorts of Music School have been granted £1,875.00

*CANCELLED* Parish Council Planning Committee – 16 December 2024

December’s Planning Committee meeting has been cancelled as there are no current applications for the Parish Council to consider.

Any urgent planning matters will be discussed at the next Parish Council Ordinary Meeting scheduled for Monday 6 January 2025 at 7.30pm in The Library.

The KALC Community Awards Scheme’s aim is to acknowledge and give recognition to a resident/group of the Parish of Ash who has/have made a significant contribution to this community over a period of years.  If you know of someone who has given this sort of service and merits an Award, then please do nominate them.  The person must live or work within the Parish of Ash boundary.

The winner will receive a certificate signed by the Chairman of Kent County Council, the High Sheriff of Kent and the KALC Chairman.  The Award will be presented by the Chair of Ash Parish Council at the Annual Parish Meeting in 2025. A nomination form is printed below.  Only ONE nomination per resident but all adult members of a family may submit a nomination form.

Art Exhibition and Sale – St Nicholas Church Ash – This Weekend!

St Nicholas Church, The Street, Ash (near Sandwich), CT3 2EW

 

The Friends of St. Nicholas Church, Ash are holding their 20th Annual Art Exhibition & Sale in the Church over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend.

Opening times are:

Saturday 4th May 10am – 6pm

Sunday 5th May 10am – 6pm

Monday 6th May 10am – 5pm

Admission £2 includes free catalogue

Children 16 years and under free

The Exhibition gives local artists the opportunity to display and sell their work and in previous years we have displayed around 600 unique exhibits at very reasonable prices.

Homemade Refreshments available throughout the weekend.
