DOVER DISTRICT LOCAL PLAN – MAIN MODIFICATIONS CONSULTATION

DOVER DISTRICT LOCAL PLAN – MAIN MODIFICATIONS CONSULTATION

The Dover District Local Plan to 2040 Regulation 19 Submission (The Local Plan) establishes the general scale and distribution of new development which is required to meet Dover District’s needs to 2040. In March 2023 the Local Plan was submitted to the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities for independent examination.

Following the close of the public hearing sessions for the examination, the Government-appointed Planning Inspectors examining the Local Plan have recommended a number of Main Modifications to the Local Plan to make the plan ‘sound’. These are open for public consultation during this period, along with other evidence base updates.
